 About the Course

Our Level 2 Electric/Hybrid Vehicle course is designed to give the skills and knowledge to safely prepare the vehicle for work on and around low voltage systems.

This course is suitable for people that do not need to work on high voltage systems but may need to make vehicles safe giving you an IMI certified qualification allowing you to safely work on high voltage vehicles upon successful completion.


ENTRY REQUIREMENTS

Candidates applying for this course do not need any prior qualifications.

Electric/Hybrid Vehicle Routine Maintenance Activities

What is covered in the Course?

  • The correct methods for shutting down and isolating high voltage systems

  • The use of approved tools and safety equipment

  • The layout and construction of hybrid and electric drive powertrain systems and the identification of key components

  • The principles of high voltage battery construction, management and monitoring systems

  • High Voltage Air Conditioning compressors

  • The design, construction and operating principles of three phase, brushless motor/generator systems

  • All booking must be paid in full prior to being booked on to a course 

  • All Learners paying with ELCAS will be expected to pay their 20% contribution before certification can be awarded.
