Croft Forces Family Day - A Roaring Success!

Thanks to the generosity of SSGC, a long-term supporter and friend of the charity, Mission Motorsport was able to head up to the north of England to Croft Circuit for the Forces Track Day, a day you guessed it, for all the family to enjoy!

With the sun shining, we took over Croft circuit in true Mission Motorsport style! Alongiside the track activity, we teamed up with Sporting Force, who provided family-based entertainment in the military village. This included inflatables, face painting, archery, football, a vehicle static display, and a whole other activities meaning even the smallest member of the family was entertained.

Making the day extra special and in the true spirit of collaboration we opened up the event for other organisations to join us. Over thirty organisations took up the offer and included:

  • Care after Combat

  • Hull for Heroes

  • Military V Cancer

  • MPCT

  • Naafi

  • 50 Signal Sqn and many more.

  • East Durham Veterans Trust

  • Help For Heroes

  • Blesma

  • Military Veteran Football Club CiC

  • SSAFA

  • AgeUK

With an eclectic mix of cars, both veterans and WIS serving personnel and their families enjoyed a fantastic day out. A total of 152 adults and 65 children traveled from all over the UK to attend the event, from as far afield as Somerset, Caerphilly, Surrey and London.34 drivers and over 30 volunteers from SSGC & Equane generously gave up their time to support the event.

James Cameron, CEO & Founder of Mission Motorsport said, “It was a fantastic day, really well attended and very well-supported by a great bunch of volunteers, charities and organisations.

“Next year’s event is already booked in, so put August 20, 2024 in your diaries.”

The next Croft Forces Families Day is scheduled for the 20th August 2024.
