WERA TOOLS CONTINUES AS TITLE PARTNER FOR 2026 RACE OF REMEMBRANCE

  • Mission Motorsport delighted with continued support from global brand Wera Tools

  • Leading tool manufacturer returns as headline sponsor of Race of Remembrance for a second year

  • Annual 12-hour race at Anglesey in North Wales set for weekend of 7th and 8th November

Race of Remembrance, the flagship yearly motor racing event of Mission Motorsport, is proud to announce global tool manufacturer Wera Tools will be the race’s title sponsor and headline partner for a second consecutive year.

Taking place over the weekend 7th and 8th November at Anglesey Circuit in North Wales, Race of Remembrance will once again be a true highlight of the British motor racing calendar, delivering competition, camaraderie and incredible teamwork and spirit – all while raising funds for charity.

Wera Tools is, of course, a premier innovator and manufacturer within the worldwide tool industry and has a significant presence within national motor racing in the UK – not least the FIA-certified Wera F4 British Championship and the Wera Tools British Karting Championship.

The company was founded in Germany back in 1936 and the business’s headquarters are situated in Cronenberg, Wuppertal, with the UK division of Wera Tools based in Clay Cross, Derbyshire, and headed up by Managing Director Ian Walford.

Wera Tools became headline partner for Race of Remembrance last year, and its continued, prominent support for the 2026 staging of the 12-hour endurance spectacular underlines the fantastic relationship already shared by Wera and the Forces’ Motorsport Charity.

Under the motto ‘Race, Retrain, Recover’, Mission Motorsport uses motor racing as a recovery sport to provide key opportunities for sick, injured and wounded Armed Forces leavers to benefit from the teamwork and camaraderie of motorsport.

Race of Remembrance is contested by teams entering race-ready, road-car-based vehicles fitted with road-legal tyres and, as stipulated by the regulations, producing no more than 250bhp per tonne.

The racing itself pauses on the morning of Remembrance Sunday to enable drivers, teams, their families and circuit staff and volunteers to acknowledge and show respect for the national Two Minute Silence at 11am.

Ian Walford, Managing Director, Wera Tools (UK) Ltd:

“Wera Tools is so pleased to be able to continue the collaboration with Mission Motorsport, who are one of the most dynamic and genuine organisations I know. The community spirit and drive that the veterans and supporters generate is really quite special. At Wera we are proud to give something back to those brave people who have risked their lives and compromised their health to keep our country safe and independent. I would encourage all relevant potential employers to consider these wonderful people who have transitioned through ‘Race, Retrain, Recover’. This year, we have enabled two young people to race and, through this, become ambassadors for us and this amazing charity.”

Alex Atherton, Managing Director, Mission Motorsport:
“We are absolutely delighted to welcome Wera Tools back as title partner of Race of Remembrance 2026. The support Wera has shown to Mission Motorsport and the Armed Forces community over many years has been exceptional, and their continued partnership is a powerful endorsement of everything Race of Remembrance stands for. Ian and the whole Wera team have become true friends of the charity, sharing our belief in the power of motorsport to bring people together, rebuild confidence, and support recovery. We are proud to stand alongside them once again and look forward to welcoming everyone to Anglesey this November for what promises to be another unforgettable weekend.”
