Here at Mission Motorsport we care about your physical and mental wellbeing. We are lucky enough to have some amazing Occupational Therapist volunteers that work alongside us to provide you with the support you need.

With a variety of services and organisations available for you to access, you do not need to suffer alone.

In order to help you access these services, our Occupational Therapist has collated some useful information for you below.


Urgent support

If you experience a mental health crisis (when you no longer feel able to cope or are not in control of your situation) you can contact Op COURAGE: The Veterans Mental Health and Wellbeing Service or you can get help by:

  • calling 111 or 999

  • booking an emergency GP appointment

  • visiting A&E

If you're still serving, you can also call the Military Mental Health Helpline on 0800 323 4444.


Op COURAGE: The Veterans Mental Health and Wellbeing Service

This is the new name for:

  • the Veterans’ Mental Health Transition, Intervention and Liaison Service (TILS)

  • the Veterans’ Mental Health Complex Treatment Service (CTS)

  • the Veterans’ Mental Health High Intensity Service (HIS)


Veterans’ Gateway

The first point of contact for veterans seeking support. We put veterans and their families in touch with the organisations best placed to help with the information, advice and support they need – from healthcare and housing to employability, finances, personal relationships and more.


Samaritans

Dial the 24/7 helpline on 116 123 to access the 24hr helpline service 365 days a year.

Samaritans Veterans is a free app that can provide you with emotional support after your career in the Armed Forces. The app is free to download and is compatible with iPhone, iPad and iPod Touch devices operating iOS 13.0 or later. Android users require 6.0 and up.


Ben – the charity of the automotive industry

Ben is a charity dedicated to supporting the people of the automotive industry, providing support for life for them and their family dependents.

Ben offers a wide range of different mental health support options,giving you more choice and control over how you receive support. This includes online self-help, access to SilverCloud (a digital platform which can support people to better manage their mental health and wellbeing), talking therapies and counselling. Our ongoing one-to-one support provides you with the confidence to help you get back on track. SilverCloud is completely free for anyone who works, or has worked, in the automotive industry. Combat Stress

Combat Stress helps former servicemen and women deal with issues such as PTSD, anxiety and depression. They provide specialist treatment and support for veterans from every service and conflict, focussing on those with complex mental health issues related to their military service.

If you find yourself struggling or are concerned about somebody else staying safe in crisis, Stay Alive is an app full of resources and tools enabling you to help access the right treatment. Reviewed and updated every six months, this app is free to download and completely confidential.
