Mission Motorsport Takes Beneficiaries on the Ultimate Petrolhead’s Weekend
Mission Motorsport recently took a small group of beneficiaries on an unforgettable journey through some of motorsport’s most iconic destinations. With the incredible support of MoneyGram Haas F1 Team, Destination Nürburgring Track Days, Isuzu UK, Subaru UK, and other valued partners, the group experienced a once-in-a-lifetime adventure combining Formula 1, legendary circuits, and true automotive culture.
A Journey to Remember
Friday 25th July – Arrival in Germany
Departing from Mission Motorsport HQ, the group led by MM Ops Manager, Mark White, made their way to Germany, arriving at Former Mission Motorsport COO Adam Marchant - Wincott’s house where they were welcomed with a BBQ and a swim – the perfect start to the weekend.
Saturday 26th July – VIP at Spa with Haas F1
The beneficiaries were treated to a very special day at the legendary Spa Grand Prix, hosted by the MoneyGram Haas F1 Team. From a pit lane walk to exclusive behind-the-scenes access, it was a dream come true for any motorsport fan. The day left everyone with memories that will last a lifetime.
Sunday 27th July – Nürburgring Discovery
The adventure continued at the Nürburgring Information Centre, a visit to the Nürburgring museum followed by local sightseeing attractions in and around the circuit, sampling classic tourist eateries along the way. Later that day the group enjoyed watching the Spa F1 from Adenau and were joined by MM CEO James and Brian from Subaru UK later that evening who had made their own way over.
Monday 28th July – First Taste of the Ring
The beneficiaries experienced passenger laps and driving laps on the Nürburgring itself, before exploring the iconic circuit’s inside and outside via 4x4s. Watching Touristenfahrten from trackside corners gave them a whole new perspective on the Nürburgring’s magic. The day finished with dinner at Sabine Schmitz’s Ranch, complete with a BBQ in tribute to the “Queen of the Ring.”
Tuesday 29th July – Porsche GT3RS Thrills
A highlight of the trip came when professional drivers Lars Kern and Tim Harvey took the group for breath taking passenger laps in Porsche GT3RSs. The exhilaration of Nürburgring laps with world-class drivers was the ultimate motorsport experience. The day ended in true Nürburgring style with dinner at the famous Pistenklause, a venue steeped in racing history.
Wednesday 30th July – Return to the UK
With hearts full and adrenaline still pumping, the group made their way home, closing out an extraordinary week of motorsport passion, camaraderie, and unforgettable experiences.
Gratitude to Our Supporters
This extraordinary trip would not have been possible without the generosity and support of our partners. A heartfelt thank you to MoneyGram Haas F1 Team, Destination Nürburgring Track Days, Isuzu UK, Subaru UK, and all our amazing supporters who made this adventure a reality.
Mission Motorsport is proud to create experiences like this that not only provide once-in-a-lifetime opportunities but also foster resilience, recovery, and community through motorsport.
More Than Motorsport
It would be easy to assume this trip was only about fast cars and legendary circuits. In truth, it was about so much more. At its core, the week was designed as a pathway to recovery, using a shared love of motorsport as the vehicle. For some participants, it offered independence; for others, it built the confidence to re-engage with the world around them. It opened doors to key figures who may help them realise ambitions of working in the sport, and above all, it gave them a safe space — a chance to switch off, create new memories, and rediscover camaraderie they had missed since leaving the forces.
One beneficiary summed it up beautifully:
“My heart still beats a little faster when I think of that first lap of the Nürburgring — an unforgettable moment. The whole week reminded me what it feels like to belong again. We laughed, we supported each other, and for the first time in years I felt part of something bigger. Mission Motorsport has given me confidence, new friendships, and the belief that I can take on fresh challenges, whether here at home or further afield.”
Another reflected:
“This trip was life-changing. In just a week I had more fun than in the past 8 years, and I came away with memories and friendships I’ll treasure forever. It’s shown me there is hope and opportunity for people like me. Most of all, it gave me a sense of safety and belonging that I haven’t felt since leaving the forces. For that, I’ll always be grateful.”
