#YourRoR

#YourRoR is a powerful community-led campaign inviting motorsport fans, beneficiaries & supporters to mark Race of Remembrance with personal challenges that raise vital funds—helping Mission Motorsport support the armed forces community.

#YourRoR is more than a fundraising initiative. It’s a heartfelt invitation to unite as a community and honour the true spirit of Race of Remembrance. Whether you're a veteran, a member of the Armed Forces, a motorsport enthusiast, or a supporter of Mission Motorsport, this is YOUR chance to make a difference in your own unique way.

Born out of resilience during the 2020 lockdown, #YourRoR became a beacon of connection when we couldn’t gather in person. From virtual races and alpine hikes to coffee donations and online events with Nathalie Pinkham and Jason Fox, our community showed that distance doesn’t diminish impact.

Now, we’re calling on you again—to take part, to challenge yourself, and to raise vital funds that support recovery, training, and transformation for our Armed Forces community.

Your Challenge, Your Way

Whether it’s:

An entry in the Biathlon of Foolishness or even the Biathlon of Extreme Foolishness

A sponsored run, swim, or cycle

A bake sale or coffee morning

A gaming marathon or quiz night

Or simply a donation from the heart

Whatever you choose, your effort will help change lives.

Why It Matters

Every pound you raise helps Mission Motorsport deliver life-changing opportunities to those who’ve served. It fuels hope, purpose, and belonging—through motorsport, mentorship, and meaningful community.

Scott Woodwiss - Ultra White Collar Boxing Match

Scott is taking part in his first ever white collar boxing match with Ultra White Collar Boxing! Ahead are eight weeks of intensive training starting next week (as well as being in the gym these last few weeks to prepare a little more), with the event taking place at The Casino Rooms in Rochester, Kent on Sunday, 14th December. Scott’s never done anything like this before, but wanted a new challenge and something to push himself physically and mentally like never before.

Tickets for the event go on sale shortly, and you can also help me support two very important charities, too - ADHD UK and Mission Motorsport , representing two things that are close his heart - ADHD and motorsport.

There's a donation link below, so if you're able to give anything to support both charities, please do so.

Scott said, “This will be a real test - but I'm up to the task. Let's get it!”

Marc Cornelius does Biathlon of Extreme Foolishness

For the past couple of years, Marc has taken part in the Biathlon of Foolishness at Race of Remembrance at Anglesey's Trac Mon. This involves running around part of the race circuit followed by a scramble down some cliffs into the Irish Sea for a quick dip and then back up the cliff and back to the race paddock (all in fancy dress) before jumping in a race car to compete in a 12 hour endurance car race.

This year I won't be competing in the car race but I have foolishly agreed to take part in something called the Biathlon of EXTREME Foolishness. This will involve scaling Yr Wyddfa (aka Snowdon) before taking the plunge into Glaslyn, the highest lake in Wales. Since this is taking place on the Monday following the Race of Remembrance on the Sunday, I will almost certainly have had a couple of beverages and a hearty curry the night before, just to make it a little bit more challenging.

Tony Eyles takes on EXTREME Biathlon of Foolishness!

Tony, having supported Mission Motorsport for the past decade, has proudly completed the Biathlon of Foolishness every year—an eccentric tradition involving a jog around half the Anglesey race circuit, a scramble over the tyre wall, and a bracing dip into the Irish Sea. As a qualified water safety lead, Tony has ensured every splash has been as safe as it’s been silly.

To mark the 10th anniversary of the Biathlon of Foolishness, Tonys upping the ante and taking on the Biathlon of Extreme Foolishness. It begins with a summit of Yr Wyddfa (Snowdon) in November, followed by a refreshing dip in Glaslyn—the highest, coldest, and most stunning lake in Snowdonia. How hard can it be?

James Reilly and his Race team James Reilly Racing is taking on the Race of Remembrance to honour the memory of James’ great-great-uncle Ronald David John Campbell Carling, a Flight Engineer with the RAFVR who was lost during operations over Marquise on the night of 27–28 June 1944, aged just 23. James said, “His name is inscribed on the memorial at St Stephen's Church in Canterbury, where I was christened, and remembered at Simon Langton Grammar School for Boys, where both my brother Alex and I proudly followed in his footsteps. Uncle Ron’s sacrifice and service continue to inspire me, and I’m proud to race in his honour.”

This November, the Race of Remembrance Safety Car Team is swapping the warmth of the safety car for something far less cosy—the Biathlon of Foolishness and the icy waters of the North Irish Sea.
