RACE OF REMEMBRANCE KARTING RETURNS FOR 2026

The annual Race of Remembrance Karting event will return to Thruxton Kart Centre on Remembrance Sunday, bringing together veterans, serving personnel, supporters and motorsport enthusiasts for a unique endurance race that pauses mid-event for a moving Act of Remembrance. Combining competitive racing with reflection, the event honours those who have fallen while supporting those who remain.

Organised in support of Mission Motorsport, The Forces' Motorsport Charity, the event reflects the belief that motorsport can play a powerful role in recovery, rehabilitation and reintegration. Through shared experiences on and off the track, participants become part of a supportive community that extends far beyond race day itself.

The continued support of Thruxton Kart Centre, alongside long-standing event partners Team Forces and Carwood, has enabled the event to grow in both scale and impact year after year, firmly establishing it as a key fixture in the Race of Remembrance calendar.

A defining feature of the event is the dedicated Act of Remembrance and pit lane service, during which racing stops and competitors step away from the track to join together in reflection. Open to participants, supporters, families and members of the public, the service mirrors the tradition established at Race of Remembrance itself and serves as a powerful reminder that the event is about far more than competition. It is an opportunity to honour those who have served, remember those who have fallen, and recognise the sacrifices made by the Armed Forces community.

While the racing is fiercely contested, the event remains rooted in teamwork, friendship and shared purpose. Participants from across the Armed Forces, motorsport and wider business communities come together not only to compete, but to support the life-changing work of Mission Motorsport.

Alex Atherton, Managing Director of Mission Motorsport, said:
"The karting event captures everything that Race of Remembrance stands for. It combines competition with camaraderie, remembrance with opportunity, and brings together people who believe in supporting the Armed Forces community. We are incredibly grateful to Thruxton Kart Centre, Team Forces and Carwood for their unwavering support, which has helped the event grow stronger every year."

Funds raised through the event help Mission Motorsport deliver programmes that support recovery, wellbeing, employment and community engagement for veterans and their families.

Members of the public are warmly invited to attend the Act of Remembrance and pit lane service, joining competitors and supporters in recognising the service and sacrifice of the Armed Forces community.
